Once you’ve chosen your artist, you’ll attend a consultation. This is a meeting where you have a friendly, open discussion and where the artist listens to your ideas, preferences, and concerns. This meeting is important to set expectations surrounding your tattoo, and to establish a personal connection with the artist. During this meeting, the artist helps refine your concept, offering advice and ideas that align with your vision. It is also important to clearly communicate and discussing details like placement, size, style, and pricing, ensuring you both understand and agree on the process.

A Clean and Comfortable Environment:

The studio you attend should be a clean space in which you feel comfortable and one where proper equipment and sanitization processes are adhered to.

Pain is to be expected, but your artist should have explained what to expect in terms of this, and can offer tips for managing discomfort. During the tattooing process, if it’s a fairly large piece/long session you’re having, there will usually be breaks.
