Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get a good tattoo?
It is encouraged that you thoroughly research your tattoo to ensure 100% satisfaction. We at Dynamic Tattoo are able to execute your ideas, but it is imperative that you are positive about your design choice. Furthermore, make sure that you also research the tattoo shop. Not all registered tattoo studios are able to provide the high quality and safe environment that we do.
Is it safe?
We constantly ensure that high sanitation standards are maintained at all times within the Dynamic studio. This includes sterilization of necessary equipment, safe disposal of tattoo needles after use, and the use of hospital-grade disinfectants throughout the studio. All work stations are kept sterile, and essential measures are taken in order to prevent cross contamination.
Do you take walk-ins?
Clients are encouraged to make appointments, however, walk-ins are accepted, given that there is an artist and appropriate time available.
If I change my mind, there is always tattoo removal, right?
If you are considering this, it is recommended that you do not get tattooed. You must be 100% positive that you want to be tattooed, as it is still considered a permanent body art. Laser removal is expensive, painful and you can not be guaranteed that the tattoo will be removed without any permanent scarring.
How much do you charge?
With our minimum price starting at $100, our approximate hourly charge is $170. However, please speak with a team member for a more accurate and custom quote for your tattoo.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A $100 deposit will be required to secure your booking. This fee comes off the final cost of your tattoo.
What is the best payment method?
Cash only. We do have ATM facilities in close proximity to the shop.
Is there parking available?
There is limited parking in Richmond, however, surrounding streets do have free two hour parking. Please call the shop (9428 0444) for further information and direction.
Do you do cover ups and rework existing tattoos?
Yes we do.  In order to quote and recommend the best rework or cover up approach, a consultation is required. Please note, depending on the existing tattoo, your choices can often be limited without laser tattoo removal.
How long is the waiting list?
We have several artists working at Dynamic Tattoo who are readily available for consultations and appointments. Please note that waiting times do depend on the artist’s availability, the size of the tattoo and any preparation required.
How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
It is important that you have eaten, and are in a healthy state. This will ensure that your session goes smoothly.
Is there anyone you won't tattoo?
We will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent – ID may be required at the time of appointment. We also will not tattoo anyone with transmittable diseases, or individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Tattoo Care Information

Before you get tattooed

Please ensure that you are well rested, have eaten and maintained appropriate hydration before your appointment. Therefore, the appointment will run more smoothly for yourself and the artist.

After you get tattooed

Remove the bandage approximately 1 – 2 hours after being tattooed. Wash the area in the shower with warm soapy water and proceed to air dry the tattoo. Apply Bepanthen cream sparingly twice a day for two weeks. Do not go swimming – or soak the tattoo – for two weeks following. Avoid direct and extensive sunlight during this healing period.
Once the tattoo is healed, use sunscreen on your tattoo to ensure that the quality is maintained.
